Privacy policy

This policy explains what Nodex (nodex.party) collects, why, and who else is involved.

What we collect

• Your Discord account details, when you sign in with Discord: your Discord user ID and avatar. We ask Discord only for the "identify" permission, so we never see your email address, servers or messages.
• Your game data: your display name, your build, money, unlocks, stash, settings and stats.
• A login token kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Only a hash of it is stored on our server.
• Chat messages you send in the game, which are passed to other players in your match or party. We don't keep a chat history.
• Technical data: like any website, our server and our network provider see your IP address and browser details when you connect. Server logs are kept briefly for security and debugging.

How we use it

Only to run the game: to sign you in, save your progress, show your name and avatar to other players, and keep the game fair and secure. We don't sell your data.

Browser storage

The game stores your login token, key bindings and a few preferences in your browser's local storage, and caches the game files so it loads faster. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Advertising

This site may show ads served by Google. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you'll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Other services

• Discord, for sign-in (Discord's privacy policy).
• Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from attacks (Cloudflare's privacy policy).
• Google, for advertising, as described above.

Children

Nodex is not directed at children under 13, and Discord accounts require users to be at least 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your game data is kept while your account exists. To have it deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
